Rollout States
A Rollout in Flagship moves through several well-defined states during its lifecycle. Understanding these states helps you track the progress of your features.
Lifecycle States
Work in Progress
The rollout is being drafted. No traffic is being served yet. You can edit the plan freely without affecting production.
Pending Rollout
The rollout is scheduled or waiting for a manual trigger to start. The configuration is locked.
Rolling Out
The rollout is active. Traffic is being gradually increased according to your Rollout Plan. Flagship is actively monitoring metrics.
Rolling Back / Rolled Back
An issue was detected (either automatically by a Trigger or manually), and Flagship is reverting the changes.
Halted
The rollout has been paused. This might happen if a warning threshold is reached or if a human operator intervenes. Traffic percentages stay at their current level.
Finalized
The rollout is complete. The feature is 100% available to the target audience (or permanently disabled). The feature flag is now considered stable.
Archived
The rollout and its associated feature flag are no longer active and have been cleaned up.
