Metrics and Observability

Flagship relies on data to provide confidence. By connecting your metrics store, you enable AI-driven impact analysis and automated safeguards.

Automated Metric Selection

When a new feature flag is detected, Flagship uses AI to infer which metrics are relevant.

  • Contextual Analysis: It looks at the code changes (e.g., changes in payment-service) and selects relevant metrics (e.g., payment_failure_rate).
  • Default Metrics: Core metrics like Error Rate and Latency are almost always tracked.

Customizing Metrics

You can refine the metrics for any rollout:

  • Chat Interface: On the rollout page, simply ask Flagship: "Add the 'cart_abandonment_rate' metric to this rollout."
  • Manual Selection: Use the metrics configuration UI to browse and select from your connected provider.
