Alerting and Rollbacks

Ensure your team is notified immediately when things go wrong, and let Flagship handle the rapid response.

Notification Channels

Configure where Flagship sends alerts (rollout starts, warnings, rollbacks, completions).

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Notifications.
  2. Slack / Microsoft Teams: Install the Flagship bot to a specific channel.
  3. Viber: Configure a webhook to post messages to a Viber community.
  4. Generic Webhooks: Send a JSON payload to any URL (e.g., PagerDuty, OpsGenie).

Rollback Triggers

Rollback triggers are the safety net for your deployments.

Types of Triggers

  • Error Trigger (Automatic Rollback):

    • If this threshold is breached, Flagship immediately reverts the flag to its default value.
    • Use this for critical failures (e.g., Error rate > 1%).
  • Warning Trigger (Halt):

    • If this threshold is breached, Flagship stops the rollout expansion but does not revert.
    • It waits for human intervention.
    • Use this for early warning signs (e.g., Latency increased by 10%).

Auto-Creation

Flagship automatically suggests triggers based on your "Risk Profile" settings. You can adjust these global defaults in Settings > Safety.
